CHAPTER 30

I had only been a WWE Superstar for a few months, but I was already getting an incredible reaction from the crowd. That kind of thing doesn’t happen to every new wrestler.

I knew things were going well for me when I began seeing signs about myself out in the crowd. There were nights when it seemed like every single person in this arena had a Lita sign. I would take my time going down the ramp so that I could read as many of them as possible. There are always lots of puns on my name, like “Follow the Lita.” One sign that sticks out as an all-time classic read “I Want Lita in a Pita,” with a picture of my face on top of a falafel. Matt and I still laugh about that one! I’m amazed sometimes—the amount of creativity the fans put into making their signs blows my mind. It shows just how devoted they are.
